Almond https://www.eatalmond.com/ is a new and unique cookie startup where we sell outrageously delicious hand baked 5” cookies from a cookie truck. The most valuable part is that each flavor comes in 3 versions. An indulgent version, a healthier version (keto, gluten-free, paleo, organic, vegan) and a high-protein version. This means that we can target numerous segments of the population. We currently have 100 flavors but almost 700 individual variations that we offer. 

We have a beautiful hand illustrated branding that includes napkins, bags for individual cookies, bags for bulk orders, stickers, decals for the truck, grease paper for samples and branded t-shirt for employees or the owner.

We also worked with a food scientist to come up with the exact number of seconds that each flavor should be warmed up in the microwave (inside the cookie truck) to where customers receive the perfect warm cookies. Various factors determine the warming time, such as whether it's a sample or full size version, whether the customer will be eating the cookie right there or once they get home after a 20 minute drive, the temperature outside and the flavor of the cookie.

Aside from the $48,000 franchise fee, there is a super minimal initial monetary investment for franchisees. For just around $900 they can launch a cookie truck with the minimal branding option or the full branding option for around $2,500. Net profit margin per truck was around 18% during our trial.
